If you are convicted of rape, you can expect to face the following penalties:
- If you are convicted of raping a person 12 years of age or older, you will be charged with a second degree felony and can face up to 15 years in prison and / or a fine of $10,000.
- If you are under the age of 18 and are charged with raping an individual less than 12 years of age, you can be convicted of a life felony.
- An adult individual charged with raping an individual less than 12 years of age can be sentenced to a capital felony.
